Good morning!

I’m at one of my favorite places in the world. . .  the BP International hotel looking out the window in the early morning.  The city is still sleeping, although in some ways like every city, it never sleeps.  I’m having a cup of instant coffee (can you believe it) while I type.
I can see the building Batman jumped off of in “The Dark Knight.”  Was that real?  To my right is a very large apartment building, and I wonder about the lives of all of the people that live there.  I see a few boats crossing the water between Hong Kong island and Kowloon.  The park is below, and soon people will gather for morning exercise – t’ai chi I think.  I can even look up from the 20th floor here and see some stars.  Where is God in all of this?  What does He think as He looks on this scene?
He will not let your foot be moved;
   he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
   will neither slumber nor sleep.  (from Psalm 121)
I’m praying today for a greater awareness of His presence around me.  I’m praying for the eyes and the will to abide in the Vine.  I’m praying for my family, for LifePoint, and for the people of Hong Kong.  Want to join me?
