Interview with Craig Groeschel about Tony’s new book “The Mentor Leader”
- Leading by encouraging, mentoring, and coming alongside rather than ‘top down.’
- Tony Dungy: “It’s about the journey—mine and yours—and the lives we can touch, the legacy we can leave, and the world we can change for the better.”
- Life balance is critical and an important part of winning in every area of life.
- To look for mentor, find people you admire and ask. Doesn’t have to be one on one, you can be mentored from a distance. Also, be available to BE a mentor.
- It is the mentor’s responsibility to learn about what the mentee needs, and how the mentor can help. This happens well within the context of the relationship.
- Don’t hesitate to seek to be a mentor even if you are not asked: be intentional about encouraging others around you.
